Deven Bhojani, better known as Gattu in Star Plus’ Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, is one excited man. Though his serial, SAB TV’s Mrs Tendulkar, is going off air on 25 November 2011, the talented actor is all geared up for his upcoming movie. Come 2012, cute and affable Deven will be seen in Dharma Productions’ magnum opus Agneepath.
“I can’t divulge much at this point of time. But my role is an important and full-fledged one. It is not a cameo,” informs Deven.
Interestingly, two serials of which Deven was a part of were made into movies, Khichdi: The Movie and Chala Mussaddi Office Office. So which of his other serials does he think deserve the same treatment? “I think Baa Bahu Aur Baby and Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai deserve to be on the silver screen,” says Deven.
After Mrs Tendulkar, Deven will not be seen for a month or so as he will be on a break. During his leisure hours he will decide his next move. It can be in front of the camera or behind it. “I am just reading different scripts as of now. After the break, I can act or direct,” ends the skilled actor and director who created one of the most fascinating offbeat comic shows in the recent times, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
Whether you are behind the camera or in front of it, you always do a fabulous job, Deven. Hope you are back tickling the funny bones pretty soon!!
