Here we bring a piece of good news for all the fans of ghost stories!
Tollywood actress Pallavi Chatterjee, who believes in the existence of spirits, is gearing up to start a web series that would focus on the same.
“I am planning to start a web series titled ‘unknown’. Unknown can be of two types- first, the stories that are unknown to us and second, the things that we cannot see but feel or hear,” the actress shared.
She added, “Although I am scared of ghosts, anything related to it attracts me. I find the stories fascinating that are based on true incidents. I think such stories attract people of all ages.”
The Dosar and Khad famed actress was present at the launch of Debasish Chaudhury’s book Oparthibo, which is based on supernatural incidents.
At the event, Pallavi also narrated her ghostly experience.
She said, “Earlier, we used to stay in a house at Dum Dum (Kolkata). My brother (Prosenjit Chatterjee) and I grew up there. The building was so big that one would easily get lost inside it. Also, after dusk, it would generate an eerie feeling. I was a child and probably that’s why my mother didn’t mention ghost instead she said about guardians. She said not to get scared if I ever feel the presence of something.”
“Sometimes, while studying we would hear someone’s breathing. There were spirits in the house. However, they never harmed us. I am very interested to know about life after death and I truly believe in spirits,” she further added.
When Tellychakkar.com quizzed if she feels that the presence of actors help in promoting a book on a wider scale, she quipped, “Face value of course matters. It really doesn’t help but it is like a support.”
“Stories are an integral part of films so I do not separate the former from latter. And somewhere, the habit of reading books is disappearing. If our presence can help in promoting the books, it is good for all of us, she signed off.
Well said, Pallavi.
