I don't fear failure; believe in learning: Sanjay R Gagnani

Sanjay R Gagnani

Sanjay R Gagnani is now gearing up for his next show on TV, Ek Rishta Saajhedaari Ka, to be launched on Sony TV. And this comes after the actor was seen recently in the Marathi movie, Pinddaan. The movie was beautifully conceived and won a lot of acclaim.

Talking about the Marathi movie and his character in it, Sanjay told us, “The movie released two weeks back. Pinddaan is a mystical love story. I had a friendly appearance in it. I accepted the offer because of Director Prashant Patil and Cinematographer Bunty Deshpande who are like family to me. I played the character of a smart, suave London based news channel reporter in it.”

On his preparations for the role, he said, “Honestly, I did not prepare for the role since my tuning with the director and cinematographer was strong. We knew each other’s capabilities, and hence were confident that we would pull it off easily and spontaneously.”

Luck actually plays a huge role in shaping up a career. Therefore, Sanjay believes in working hard on the project in hand and leaving the rest to God. “Regional movies are really great on content, but I don't expect anything after I complete my job as an actor with utmost honesty. Every film and TV show has its own destiny. It's impossible to predict anything about how it would be received by the audiences.”

Sanjay who last featured in & TV’s Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls, will return to TV space with Kavita Barjatya’s Ek Rishta Saajhedaari Ka. On his role, the young lad said, “I am blessed to be part of such a grand show. Working with Barjatya’s is like a blessing, since they make you feel like a family on their sets. Kavita Barjatya is a positive, strong-headed and a dynamic producer. I play the role of Vaibhav, a smart, young, suave and modern guy whose love for his work and responsibilities towards his family are unmatchable. I cannot reveal anything about my role other than this at the moment. But I am sure I will find a place in the hearts of viewers with this role in ERSK.”

When asked whether he is happy with the way his TV career has progressed, he averred, “I am happy since the time I have started working on Television. Every person has a different definition of success in their lives. I have learnt a lot and enriched myself by grasping qualities of good co-actors and human beings. People close to me feel I am yet to get my due, but I feel the right time has begun with this show. That's how I feel whenever I start shooting for a new project. I'm positive, optimistic and a learner; so I am always kicked about anything new I start. I don't fear failure. And so I consider myself successful.”

Best of luck, Sanjay!!
