Mammoth loss for Indian media and entertainment industry as an asset of Barjatya family Rajjat A Barjatya breathed his last at a young age of 41.
Rajjat, son of Ajit Kumar Barjatya lost his battle to cancer today evening.
The production master class who has not only contributed immensely on TV and films but has also played a pivotal role in taking Indian content to the global map through internet.
Rajjat was the MD and CEO of Rajshri Entertainment and the Founder and Managing Trustee at Rajshri Foundation. He was also actively involved in his family’s reputed business, the Rajshri Productions studio that has produced iconic films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Apke Hai Koun and more recently Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Rajat, who was informed about his leukemia in 2010, battled the tough disease for six months. But sadly he was diagnosed with a relapse three months back. The family has been trying to get a bone marrow transplant done, but seems time and fate was not on their side. Rajjat passed away today (29 July) evening at 6: 30 pm at Jaslok Hospital.

Rajjat is survived by his wife Neha and two daugters.
May his soul rest in peace.
As per latest information, Rajjat will be cremated tomorrow (30 July) at Worli crematorium, 1 p.m.
