Ganpati is here and the air is filled with euphoria and exuberance. The entire city of Mumbai is brimming with devotion!

It is that time of the year when people across the India is busy with plans and preparations to make the festival special.

Tellychakkar called few TV actors to know their Ganesh Chaturthi plans. Here what they had to say....

Vineet Raina: I enjoy all the festivals but Ganesh Chaturthi is my favourite. Love the way mumbaikars gear up to celebrate the festival. The only thing I hate the most is playing item number songs on such holy day. Also, I think it’s high time that government should ban plaster of paris idol and promote eco friendly idol. Like every year, this time also I will visit my television actor friends and close buddies' house to seek darshan of bappa.

Parag Tyagi: It’s been 16 years that we call bappa home. People actually look forward to our decoration of our house during ganpati. The entire charge is taken by Shefali and she brilliantly does everything. We get bappa for one and half days and on the first day we have maha aarti. Post that we call friends and relatives for Prasad. I really enjoy this festival as you get to meet your friends and there is lot of positivity around you.

Sumeet Raghavan: All festivals are special and ganeshotsav is very special. We say ganeshay namaha when we start a journey, be it work related or plain travel. Ganesh ji is an integral part of our lives. We celebrate ganeshotsav by keeping a silver moorti for one and a half day, basically we have been following this ritual for the past 20 years and we care for the environment as well so we just dip the moorti in water and keep it back in our locker. The flowers that are used during this period are put in a vermiculture box which transforms into soil which we use it for our plants and the sweets are distributed amongst urchins. My only request to all is that please don’t take our environment for granted. Let’s not forget Mother Nature in all this frenzy. Ganpati bappa moraya!

Debina Bonnerjee: In Mumbai, Ganesh Chaturthi is the biggest festival. Every year there is celebration and the city gets decorated and becomes lively. I celebrate by bringing gannu home for one and half day. This will be my 5th year. All my friends and family comes home to take bappas blessings. I cook homemade khichdi and bhaji for the guest. After the festival is over all the beaches get polluted post the visarjan. It's our Mother Nature if we don't protect it then who else will. So I would suggest to do eco friendly visarjan after all the rejoicing is over.

Rachana Parulkar: I will be visiting all my loved ones house for Darshan. I try to visit as many pandals as I can. I love looking in to ganeshjis eyes. There is so much purity, power and more over so much to talk to him. At least I do that. I never ask anything in particular. I really enjoy this festival as we get to meet all the people with whom we can't stay in touch with on daily basis. But yes on the day of visarjan I feel little low. I pray and I hope ganpati Bappa blesses everyone. Ganpati Bappa Morya!

Aakanksha Singh: I enjoy Ganpati festival a lot. Many of my friends get ganpati at home. There are lot of invitation so it always gets confusing which one to go for. It festival becomes all the more exciting as you get to meet your close ones. Like all festival, this festival spreads lot of positivity.

Asmita Sood: I was planning to keep Ganpati this year in my house for the first time ever but could not as I am busy shooting and won't be able to do justice to the proceedings. I will go to a couple of friends' house who are not from the industry. Also might visit my Badtameez Dil director Ashish sir's house. I enjoy this festival a lot.

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to everyone!!!
