Siddharth is like a younger brother; no animosity between us: Bharti Singh

This is what Bharti has to say about the slapgate controversy with Siddharth
Tellychakkar.com has been exclusively sharing insights on Bharti Singh-Siddharth Sagar slapgate controversy, which hit headlines yesterday. Siddharth was allegdedly accused of slapping Bharti while performing an act on Comedy Nights Live. And post that it was reported that Bharti convinced (read: forced) the producers (Optymistix Production) to throw Siddharth out of the show and also made him lose on a plump project Comedy Nights Tazaa (both on Colors). Siddharth spoke to us exclusively on how he was misunderstood and he had no intention of hitting Bharti. He also shared his hurt on being hurled allegations and his decision to henceforth keep away from team Comedy Nights Live. Knowing well Tellychakkar.com's credibility and constant endeavour to bring forth all sides of the story, Bharti too opened up with us and revealed that there is no animosity between her and Siddharth. "First of all nothing really has happened. If I was slapped, as a woman of dignity I would have spoken up. No one has the right to raise his hand on a woman. But there was no such incident. It has been completely blown out of proportion. These gossip stories hurt me as without thorough knowledge people tend to assume. Glad you all reached out," she shared. Bharti went on, "Siddharth is like a younger brother to me. I have seen him progress in his career. He was a kid when he entered the industry. He is immensely talented and I hope such issues don't mar our relationship." When we asked her on Siddharth's claim that Bharti's rumoured boyfriend Harsh threatened him over the slap incident, the comedy superstar smiled and replied, "He shares a cordial relationship with Harsh. They are great friends and it must have been a friendly remark." And finally citing that she has no involvement in Siddharth's ousting from Live and Tazaa, the rib tickler averred, "Live is on a break, so no question for its shoot. As for Tazaa, I think the channel and the production house would be in the best position to give the right answers. The team works professionally and no artist an be thrown out by someone else's diktat. If he is not in our show, I think Optymistix must be planning something bigger for him. We are a small bunch of people and closely connected and such issues are uncalled for." Now , that's wisdom speaking. Wish the two a friendly life ahead.
