&TV’s Gangaa set for a revamp, to take mytho route

&TV’s popular show Gangaa (Sphereorigins) will get a facelift (read: genrelift).

The daily, which is currently revolving around the life of Gangaa (Aditi Sharma), Sagar (Vishal Vashishtha) and their little daughter Krishna (Ruhana Khanna), has struck an emotional chord with the masses.

However, we have been told that the creatives have decided a whirlwind of a plot transformation. Yes, Gangaa will move away from regular drama and metamorphosize into a mytho with fancy gaudy costumes and ostentatious production quality.

“Gangaa will be seen as Gangaa Maa. Dadi (Sushmita Mukherjee) will tell the legendary tale of Gangaa Maa and Shantanu to Krishna (Ruhana Khanna) on the ghats of Varanasi. The story will be depicted in a flashback sequence,” shares a source.

Aditi Sharma and Vishal Vashishtha will play the roles of Gangaa Maa and Shantanu, respectively.

The narration switch is expected in the month of December (2016).

The actors and the producer remained unavailable for a comment.

Channel spokesperson too did not revert till the time of filing the article.
