Seasoned actress Swati Chitnis, the very popular Aayi Sahab of Colors’ popular show Laagi Tujhse Lagan will soon be back on television!!

She will be the next new entrant in Rajan Shahi’s popular Star Plus show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Swati Chitnis who always comes up with stellar performances in TV shows Jasuben Jayantilal Joshi Ki Joint Family, Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke, Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Sasural Simar Ka will be seen rendering yet another powerful performance.

We hear that the veteran actress will come in as Karthik’s (Mohsin Khan) grand mother who would love him to the core. She will be the mother of the Goenka brothers, essayed by Sachin Tyagi and Ali Hassan.

As per sources, “Dadi will be superstitious, dominating and will be health-conscious by nature. She will have a soft corner for her elder son Manish Goenka, and would dislike her daughter-in-law Swarna (Parul Chauhan). However, her love for her son Manish will force her to be pally with Swarna. Dadi will also be doting on her grand son Karthik.”

We buzzed Swati several times, but did not get through to her.                                     

We also contacted Producer Rajan Shahi, but did not get revert till we filed the story.

Swati has started shoot from today, is what we hear. Swati’s was recently seen in the Marathi movie Ventilator.
