Jasmin Bhasin

Pretty and bubbly Jasmin Bhasin, who has gained immense fan following with her stint as Twinkle in Tashan-E-Ishq, is all set to rule their hearts by essaying a very different avatar on Colors’ upcoming series Dil Se Dil Tak (Shashi Sumeet Productions).

Jasmin is playing the role of Teni, a small town girl from Gujarat. She is quite bold and dreams of earning a lot of money so that she can fly off to US to fulfil her dreams of becoming a top model.

The actress feels that this character is a very challenging one. What else Jasmin has to say about her role in her upcoming show, read on to know –

Revealing more about her role in the show, she said, “Teni has struggled a lot in her life. She has been cheated by many people so she doesn’t trust anyone else than herself. She never maps herself less than anyone and she has the mindset that there is no one who is better than her; even stars like Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor could fail in front of her. It was such a different and challenging character from what I have done before. This role’s out of my comfort zone. You get success in life only when you step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself so that’s what attracted me towards the show most.”

She continued, “I feel that I was very lucky that I was offered this show and they thought that I have the potential to do it. This is not a very regular character. It has different shades and she is not a typical conventional lead. She is over the top and she is loud. The biggest worry that I had was that there is a very thin line between over acting and loud acting. So I used to get scared feeling that if this would happen then people will find it irritating. I have accepted the challenge and let’s see how the response would be.”

She also talked about her preparation for the role. She shared, “I was thrilled to get such an offer where I would be utilizing my potential. I did a lot of workshops, watched Gujarati movies, I changed my way of thinking and I unlearned whatever I did in last one and a half years. I have put a lot of effort.”

It is said that her character is based on the role of Preity Zinta in the movie Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. When we asked Jasmin to comment on it, she said, “It was one of the biggest shows that was coming on Colors and people have been writing whatever they wanted to. Nobody from the channel or the production house had spoken about it. So people kept saying things and writing whatever they wanted to. You will get to know about the reality only when you will watch the show.”

We wish you good luck, Jasmin.
