Talented beauty Madhurima Tuli, who was last seen in Zee TV’s popular daily Kumkum Bhagya is all set for comeback with Colors’ mega offering Chandrakanta (Balaji Telefilms) where she will be seen in the titular role.
The actress is thrilled and elated to play a princess on-screen, and mentioned to us that she had to do a lot of preparations for the role.
In a candid conversation with Tellychakkar.com, she talks about playing Chandrakanta and much more. Excerpts from the interview –
Madhurima shared with us, “When I was offered this role, I felt that now I have a lot of pressure upon me for playing a princess but then I thought that when Ekta (Kapoor) mam can believe in me then I should also believe in myself that I can do it and give my best for it. We had to prepare a lot for our respective roles. I got myself trained in horse riding and sword fighting. We were also being given script reading classes and now we are trying to work on our characters. We are trying to figure out as what different we can do that would be loved by the audience.”
As beautiful everything looks on-screen, the more challenging it is off-screen, as a lot of hard work had gone into it. Madhurima further shared with us, “There are a lot of challenges involved in it. Horse riding is not that easy and getting yourself involved in the character is also a task. Shooting with a harness is also challenging. Chandrakanta is a fully adventurous story which is going to have a lot of magic and adventure.”
We also asked Madhurima if she has followed Chandrakanta series during her childhood days. She said, “I have followed and have been a fan of Chandrakanta from my childhood days. The audience is quite different today than it was back then. We are trying to do something different and give our best.”
Life OK too is airing a series on Chandrakanta which is currently on-air. We asked Madhurima to opine about the comparisons that will happen between the two shows. She said, “There will be comparisons but if we will feel pressurized about it, then we won’t be able to do our own work. So I am not thinking about it whether it will be liked by the audience or not. I feel that if you are doing your job with all your heart then it will automatically connect with the audience. The story of Chandrakanta will be the same but we are coming up some magical elements in our concept that may connect to the youth. I am sure that audience will enjoy the fantasy world.”
Madhurima has been part of a number of television shows, and debuted on the big screen recently with Baby. We asked her if she has any regrets of quitting the popular Kumkum Bhagya, to which she replied, “There have been no regrets as such. My career has been good so far and I am enjoying my journey. God has been kind. I have played a negative character as well as a positive too. I have got variety of role to play so I am enjoying my journey thoroughly.”
Good luck Madhurima.
