How Mitali Nag became Afsar Bitiya

Raakesh Paswan’s new show Afsar Bitiya on Zee TV is all set to go on-air from 19 December. Starring Kinshuk Mahajan and Mitali Nag in the lead, the promos have already created a buzz and one can surely see an emotionally captivating show in the making. However, before you go on to watch this saga; TellyChakkar.com brings to you an interesting anecdote on how the lead actress Mitali got the role. Mitali, who has done a few episodes of Mano Ya Na Mano and Wanted- High Alert, was on holiday in her home town Nagpur when she got a call from the casting director of the show. She was asked to come down to Mumbai for the auditions. But since she was tied up with prior commitments, she couldn’t do so. The production house was quite keen to see if she fitted the bill. She was given the option of recording a scene and having it sent across. Mitalii then shot a scene involving herself from her friend's phone and uploaded it on YouTube. And lo and behold she got the part. "It was really a dream come true,” says the smiling lead female actor of the show. Mitali, now you know that efforts like these pay off really well.
