Krshna Kohli back in Balaji fold!

Just last week, Ekta Kapoor walked into the Manav Gohil-Shweta Kawaatra wedding reception at 1 am and shocked one and all. There was a buzz floating around in the party that the Queen of Soaps would not grace the occasion because Kawaatra had rubbed her the wrong way by opting out of 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii'. However, what went unnoticed was that the Queen of Soaps has set another example - that of forgetting and forgiving. Remember Kanan (Kashish’s sister and the fourth daughter of professor Sinha) in Ekta Kapoor's late-night daily Kahiin To Hoga, played by Krshna Kohli (real name Kanika Kohli) who was replaced by Kirti Gaekwad in September this year? Kapoor had said that Kohli was replaced because "she had date problems and was overweight to suit the character ahead". Kohli is now back in the Balaji camp. On date, she is playing NKihil Arya's sister in Kesar. Kapoor still maintains that Kohli would not have suited her role ahead in KTH. "The graph of her character had some romance ahead for which I thought I needed a thinner female. I had no other issues with Kohli. She is a fine actress. I thought she would suit my requirement in Kesar. So, we called her. Simple," she explains Kohli's recall into Balaji House. Kohli is on cloud nine. Not only has she got Kesar in her kitty, but also Star One's Hey...Yehi To Haii Woh where she is paired opposite Gaurav Chanana. Her forthcoming list sounds even more impressive- Manish Goswami's forthcoming Aaj (earlier titled Swaarth)and Vinta Nanda's Millie. No prizes for guessing that Kohli is glad that Balaji called her back. "I love working with Balaji. I made my mark with my acting in KTH, I guess. That's perhaps why they called me for Kesar. Let bygones be bygones. But if you insist, yes, there were date hassles which arose because I was also doing Goswami's Kittie Party at that point of time. Balaji wanted a lot of time as Kashish's (Aamna Shariff) wedding was happening and they wanted all her reel sisters in most frames. "But more importantly I felt there was no point continuing in KTH because I was getting lost in a crowd. I am hungry for good work. I don't want to play a prop in any show. I wouldn't mind doing a brief role but one which would get me noticed. Actually I myself opted out of KTH" she says, adding a claim, "The weight issue was not a problem. In fact, I was losing weight naturally since I started KTH. They didn't tell me that they were looking for someone with lesser weight. Else I could have easily shed some more kilos. Losing weight is no big deal. Anyways, all's well that ends well." Not an unjustified statement from a babe who played Amitabh Bachchan's daughter in Ek Rishta- The Bond Of Love, eh? However, Kohli refutes Kapoor’s allegations saying that. “I walked out of the show because I was being wasted as an actress. My track would go up and down and I couldn’t figure out why. As far as putting on weight is concerned, I lost a lot of weight doing this serial. In fact I was given costumes which made me look fat.” Is anyone at Balaji going to counter this one?
