Shabnam Sayed gets a new name - Surabhi Vanzara

Shabnam Sayed, known for her roles in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Miilee, is currently happy entertaining viewers as Jhampa in Zee TV’s Hitler Didi. Not only this, the actor is elated on the personal front as well as she got married to beau Saurabh Vanzara, two months back. But her single status is not the only thing that has changed post-marriage; Shabnam has a new name now - Surabhi. “Keeping with the tradition of changing the bahu’s name in my sasural, I decided to be rechristened Surabhi Vanzara,” she says. But why this name? “Much before we met each other, my husband’s parents used to joke that they would find a girl called Surabhi for Saurabh,” she adds. In fact, she has already started informing people about her rechristening and will use both names till everyone gets used to Surabhi. Shabnam is too happy to have acquired a new name and unlike many of her peers, isn’t bitten by the numerology bug. “I don’t believe in numerology or any such thing. I strongly believe that if one has the talent and works hard to achieve the goals, one is bound to succeed,” she ends. Wise words!!
