MUMBAI: Colors’ daily soap Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki is set to introduce a new character.
Renowned TV actress Krutika Desai, who has worked in films, theatre, and TV, will join the cast of the show. Last seen in Star Plus’ Mere Angne Mein, Desai has always played power-packed characters.
TellyChakkar has exclusive information that Krutika’s character on the show is that of an orthodox and conservative woman called Super Nani. The entire family hides Harman (Vivien D’Sena) and Saumya’s (Rubina Dialik) marriage from her when she enters the house, because they know that she would be against her grandchild marrying a kinnar.
Eventually, she does get to know about it and might create havoc in Saumya and Harman’s life. A little birdie tells us that Krutika has started shooting yesterday.
When we contacted the 50-year-old, she confirmed her entry. She further added, ‘From playing a UP-based character in Mere Angne Mein, my train journey will now head towards Punjab. So I’m looking forward to it.’
