Karan Johar welcomes Nagarjuna and says he as a very special role

Filmmaker Karan Johar says he is honored and excited to have southern superstar Nagarjuna play a special role in his upcoming production venture "Brahmastra".

Karan on Monday took to Twitter and wrote: "We are honored and exceptionally excited to have the one and only Nagarjuna doing an extremely 'special' role in our film 'Brahmastra'! Directed by Ayan Mukerji, (starring) Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor... Thank you, Sir, for your love and your beautiful energy."

He also shared a photo from the film's shoot.

A tweet from Karan's home production banner Dharma Productions read: "The 'Brahmastra' team is now bigger and grander! Super stoked to have Nagarjuna on board for a very special part in the journey."

"Brahmastra" is a trilogy. Its first part will release on India's Independence Day on August 15, 2019.

Sunny celebrates 'gotcha' anniversary with Nisha

Actress Sunny Leone on Monday celebrated the one-year "gotcha" anniversary with her daughter Nisha, whom she adopted from a village in Latur in 2017.

Sunny shared a heartwarming photograph of herself along with her husband Daniel Weber embracing her daughter.

She captioned the image: "One year ago today our lives changed when we brought you home with us! Today is your one-year 'gotcha' anniversary and I can't believe it's only been one year because I feel I have known you a lifetime. You are a part of my heart and soul and the most beautiful baby girl in the world! I love you very much Nisha Kaur Weber!"

On the acting front, Sunny will next be seen in the upcoming film "Veeramadevi", a period war film directed by V.C. Vadivudaiyan.

Priyanka Chopra wraps up shooting for 'Isn't It Romantic'

The shooting for the Hollywood film "Isn't It Romantic", starring Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, has concluded.

Priyanka on Sunday night took to Twitter, where she shared a photograph of herself along with her co-stars Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Liam Hemsworth.

"And it's a picture wrap! Such a fun lot to shoot this movie with. Adore you all... 'Isn't It Romantic' Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine, Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Liam Hemsworth.

Actor Adam Devine shared the same photograph and captioned it: "This movie is so much fun to shoot. In a song and dance man once again! 'Isn't It Romantic' will be in theaters next Valentine's Day and its cuteness meter is off the charts."

Directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, "Isn't It Romantic" is slated to release on February 14, 2019.

Big B decodes fashion trends

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he either donates his old clothes to the needy or keeps them for himself as he believes fashion has a cyclical nature.

"It took time for the human to realize that clothing could be a work of art. It now covers most of our clothing, more with art than practicality... When design searches, art takes the shape of changed design - where to place that obscure artwork, the painting of objects and other material, the use of metallic contents and coloured and semi-precious stones on them... the footwear too... and in time, they all repeat themselves," Big B wrote on his blog.

He added: "I do not destroy old clothing. I give them away to the needy or keep some for myself for they, in turn, shall be the fashion within years... It is the narrow drainpipe trousers today, it will become the flared wide bottomed soon. Some already are... glory be, for the purchase of the new shall be limited, or none at all.'

Pankaj deserved National Award for 'Ek Doctor Ki Maut' says Shabana Azmi

Actress Shabana Azmi says her "Ek Doctor Ki Maut" co-actor Pankaj Kapur deserved to win a National Award for his performance.

"Pankaj Kapur should have won the National Award for 'Ek Doctor Ki Maut'. I loved working in the film directed by Tapan Sinha," Shabana tweeted on Sunday.

The 1990-released film, which touched upon the themes of ostracism and bureaucratic negligence, features Pankaj as a doctor who discovers a vaccine for leprosy but others take the credit for it. Shabana plays his wife in the movie.

Saif  next a period drama

Saif Ali Khan recently seen in a Netflix's Sacred Games is getting rave reviews from the critics worldwide, The actor is been lauded for his excellent performances in the series.  All his fans are curious to know what the actor is doing next. Saif while talking to a recent media portal said that he is doing a period film next where he will be essaying the character of Naga Sadhu! The movie titled Hunter is an action thriller set in 1780. His character is a failed Naga Sadhu, who has strong notions of revenge. The film is a drama set in Rajasthan.  Saif further stated that the film is weird but a part of a lifetime.

Kalki Koechlin to play Daayan in Gul Khan’s upcoming show Nazar?

Many Bollywood actors are doing shows on television these days.  The latest actress to join the block is the very talented Kalki Koechlin. There is buzz that Kalki may be playing the role of a daayan in Gul Khan’s Nazar. She will be seen as the ‘mahadaayan’ in the show. According to some media reports, the makers feel that since Kalki was one of the leads in the supernatural movie, Ek Thi Daayan, it will be interesting to begin this show with her. It will be a five-minute cameo and reports suggest that they are already in talks with her. However, Kalki has not said anything about it. If she gives a nod to it, then Nazar will mark her TV debut.

Priyanka and Ranveer to clash at the Box office.

Clashes at the box office these days are very common. But this time it's a little different, as we know Ranveer Singh is shooting for Zoya Akthar’s Gully boy and the movie will be releasing on 14th February 2019 on Valentine's Day.  Now we hear that Priyanka Chopra’s Hollywood movie will also be hitting the screens on the same day. Salman Khan to begin the shoot for Bharat

Salman Khan, who recently wrapped up the DaBang tour will be returning to the city soon. He will directly kickstart shooting for his upcoming movie Bharat. The movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and it will bring together Priyanka Chopra and Khan after 10 years. The last movie they worked together was God Tusi Great Ho (2008)

Vicky Kaushal gets injured on the sets of Uri

Vicky Kaushal is riding high on the success of his latest movie Sanju.  He is currently shooting for his movie Uri in Serbia when he injured his right arm. Vicky returned to Mumbai for a few days over the weekend for a prior commitment. According to some sources, Vicky has been training daily because the film requires him to pull off some daredevil stunts. During one such sequence, he injured his arm badly and was in unbearable pain. The doctors said it was due to muscle inflammation and overexertion. He has been undergoing daily physiotherapy sessions. However, Vicky has resumed the shoot in Serbia despite the injury.

Mohit Suri to direct Luv Ranjan's next

Luv Ranjan who is still high on the success of his last hit ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha, is currently aiming to take up his production banner to a new level. Luv announced his collaboration with Ajay Devgan and Ranbir Kapoor.  Now we hear that he as roped in ace director Mohit Suri to direct his next project which he will be making under his banner. Rani Mukerji to hoist the national flag at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2018

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere, recently announced, the multi-talented actor and superstar Rani Mukerji as the Chief Guest for this year.

As per tradition, the Chief Guest of the festival is the one who hoists the Indian national flag at Melbourne's main public square. This year, the honor to hoist the flag will be given to the every loved and fantastically talented actress, Rani Mukerji who has also been nominated under the Best Actress category for an IFFM Award.
 
Yami wraps up Serbia schedule for Uri

Yami Gautam has wrapped the Serbia schedule of Aditya Dhar’s Uri. The film which revolves around the surgical strikes enforced by the Indian army, following the terrorist attack in Uri, also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead.

Uri, produced by Ronnie Screwvala, is slated for release next year.
