Japan's Prime-minister's wife charmed by tinsel town

Bollywood has crossed boundaries and so has the Indian television industry. It is a well known fact that Indian shows are watched not only by Indians settled abroad but also by non-Indians. A recent case in point is Miyuki Hatoyama the wife of the Prime minister of Japan. She is so enamoured by Indian soaps that during her recent trip to India she expressed her desire to visit a set where a serial was being shot. And this was a pleasant surprise for the cast and crew of two shows- Yahan main ghar ghar kheli and Yeh pyaar na hoga kam. Both the shows are being shot in Filmcity and the First Lady paid a visit to both these sets. Confirming the news, Gaurav Khanna lead of Yeh pyaar na hoga kam says, “Yes, wife of Japan’s Prime-minister visited our sets and she was totally charmed by the opulence of the sets and the shooting. She is an extremely humble lady and we made her see the entire set. We welcomed her in our traditional style with a garland and also gifted her a shawl as a token of our love. I have come to know that she too is a former actress and so she was keen to know how it works in our country. We also explained a bit about Indian culture and tradition which had her very interested.” Adds Deepak Panth, production head of the show, “She was completely charmed by our sets which is a replica of a mohalla from Lucknow as our story is based against the backdrop of the city. Producer Dheeraj Kumar was also present to welcome her. We had a traditional aarti to welcome her and gifted her with a shawl.” We sent a text message to Kavita Barjatya, producer Yahan main ghar ghar kheli but she didn’t revert.
