MUMBAI: Actor Mohammad Nazim, who is celebrating Bakra Eid today, says that the day is of huge significance to him. The actor says that this is the first time he will be in Mumbai on the festival and has not been able to go to his hometown in Punjab. ‘This is the first time that I am not being able to go to Punjab. I will celebrate it here. The day is all about a qurbaani that is very important. You can only do this if you haven’t taken money from anyone,’ he says.

The actor adds, ‘The bakra that you sacrifice doesn’t have to be ill. First, you need to give the needy, then relatives, and then you can call people and feed them at home.’

The actor insists that the sacrifice is not an easy one. ‘Some people keep and nurture a bakra and then make the qurbaani. That is very difficult as you get attached. This is a ritual that is followed since ages,’ says Mohammad, who is currently seen as Ghumaan Singh in Udaan.
