MUMBAI: Indian author Novoneel Chakraborty seems to be on a roll. Recently, it was announced that his Stranger trilogy would be adapted into a three-part web series. Now, TellyChakkar has exclusive information that another work of his is going to be transmuted into the visual medium.
According to our source, Novoneel’s 8th book, Black Suits You, will soon be seen as a digital series. Popular production firm Victor Tango, which has given us cult shows like TVF’s Triplings, has acquired the rights for the book. Helmed by duo Tabassum and Vaibhav Modi, the media house has started the work on the project. Talks are on with digital platforms, and chances are that the project will stream on ALTBalaji.
The show is currently in its writing phase. “It is at a very initial stage,” a little birdie informs us.
An insider reveals that the show will be high on eroticism: ‘It would be one of the boldest projects in the country with an intriguing storyline.’ The thriller was critically acclaimed and received well by the audience.
The casting of the venture will soon begin.
The book, which was released in November 2016, is a psychosexual thriller. It revolves around an author Kiyan Roy. The 27-year-old erotic writer’s life changes when a mysterious girl comes into his life after stalking him.
ALTBalaji is known for churning out interesting content. Will this show become the new 50 Shades of Grey?
