MUMBAI: This is a rather shocking and scary incident!
Popular designer Neerushaa Nikhat has begun her day on an unfortunate note!
The actress was left stunned after realizing that her housemaid had robbed valuable things from her house and has gone missing since last night.
When TellyChakkar reached out to Neerushaa, she sounded rather annoyed and told us exclusively, 'Well, I have a maid named Meena working with us for 13 years now. She is more like a family member to me. However, due to some urgency, she had to visit her hometown for a few months. Since I have a kid at home and I am occupied with lots of work, I need to have a full-time maid who can look after my house and my kid. Hence, I decided to hire a helper from an agency rather than welcoming someone unknown. Thus, I approached Kaam Wali Bais agency. They sent a helper named Alinka at my place on 18 August. I have paid them 19,000 rupees as brokerage. They provided her documents but did not send her police verification. I kept asking the agency, but still, they never provided it.'
She continued, 'This morning, when I woke up, I realised that Alinka was not seen anywhere. Even her suitcase was missing from my house. For a second, I thought may be she didn’t want to work and thus went away. But soon, I realized that she has robbed many of my valuable things. She has stolen my new bedsheets and crockery. I soon checked my bag. My valuable jewellery and money was also missing. There was around one lakh in my bag. I am not bothered about money as I believe in karma. But what is disappointing was the attitude of the agency people. They did not help me. Such renowned agencies ignore you even after paying brokerage. They are not taking the responsibility after the entire incident. Thankfully, nothing happened to my kid. What if she had kidnapped my child and run away? I know that a lot of people including actors take the help of Kaam Wali Bais agency. So, I hope this makes them realise that there is no security even after paying.'
