Is Bigg Boss 5 taking the comedy route?

Is Bigg Boss 5 taking the comedy route? Squabbles, fights, emotional outbursts, bringing in a porn star, Mahesh Bhatt, cricketer Andrew Symonds, Pooja Misrra, - these have all been interesting tactics to liven up Bigg Boss 5. But they have done little to take the show’s ratings northwards. Is the channel now resorting to comedy to try and get some movement in the TRPs and bring in new audiences? Well, watching 14 December’s episode looks like the channel’s creatives and housemates are. The Sholay parody with housemates playing different characters from the film was one of the funnier moments on television. Sky and Amarr’s Pooja 'Basanti’ Misrra rescue act on a bicycle and Symonds playing Gabbar Singh were moments straight out of Sony Entertainment’s Comedy Circus. What was even funnier was the mockery that Sky and Pooja Misrra made of Siddharth’s earlier protest of violence against the spare me girl which led to her being evicted. Pooja Misrra mimicked Siddharth’s going up to the camera and protesting about the fact that he wants to leave the house as he has been a victim of violence. Sky is behind her, enacting her, walking in exaggerated hip swaying feminine movements with her trade mark “ Spare Me” gesture. He goes on to do hip thrusts, and exaggerated giant sized claps, and goes on around swaying his hips once again. Pooja then pretends to climb the wall like Siddharth did saying “Bigg Boss, You have got this shot right. Now I can go and sleep.” Sky – playing Pooja – follows her and she starts muttering Jai Mata Di like Siddarth did. All this time she keeps on saying. “He went in front of the camera here; got footage once again.” Sunny Leone and Amarr, meanwhile, who are watching from the sidelines are rolling over in splits. As we are sure were the audiences, watching one of the more hilarious scenes on TV. Now all that we have to wait and watch is whether this was a one-off or we will get to watch more comedy – even if of the slapstick kind - on Bigg Boss 5.
