MUMBAI: Actor Vineet Raina, who plays the role of Virat in the show Ishq Mein Marjawan, says that he doesn’t relate to his role at all. The actor adds that the only thing he loves about his character is that he is in the Police. “ I don't relate to Virat since he is a villain. He is too evil and a self-centred man. The only thing I like is that I get to wear a police uniform. I have always said that if I was not an actor, I would have joined the force,” he says.
The actor says that the show is doing very well. “A show which was supposed to be a finite show initially has completed 400 episodes successfully. Do I need to say more? The response is delightful,” he says.
The show recently completed 400 episodes and the actor couldn’t be prouder. “Completing 400 episodes is a milestone indeed for a show of such genre because it is too difficult to keep the intrigue alive in a daily soap. I am glad we did that. I feel great about it,” he says.
Vineet enjoys working with the production house Beyond Dreams as well. “Working with Beyond Dreams is like being in a family and working together towards success,” he says.
The actor has received a lot of compliments for his role. “I receive all sorts of compliments for playing Virat, even sometimes criticisms and hatred, which I take as compliments. If the audience doesn't hate my character, then I have failed somewhere. I am supposed to get showered with hatred, that's a villains reward,” he says.
Vineet shares a great equation with the entire team. “We all are extremely close on the sets, not just the actors but the entire unit. The cast eats together,” he says.
