MUMBAI: Parineeti Chopra, who is known for films like Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance, and Hasee Toh Phasee, has replaced Shraddha Kapoor in the Saina Nehwal biopic.

According to media reports, since Shraddha is already occupied with films including Chhichhore, Street Dancer 3D and Saaho, it was difficult to accommodate dates for the said film. So, due to her tight schedules, she has apparently, stepped out of the film.

A source revealed to the daily, “Despite everyone’s best efforts to accommodate the Saina biopic, dates were clashing, so it made sense for Shraddha to opt out. The decision was taken by mutual consent. Meanwhile, Parineeti loved the script and will start prep soon.”
It will certainly be a treat for the fans of Parineeti to see her in the role of the ace shuttler, Saina Nehwal.
The film is directed by Amol Gupte and is produced by Bhushan Kumar. The team is expecting to complete the film’s shooting by this year-end, and release the film in early 2020.
