MUMBAI: Here is some good news for fans of Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya (Balaji Telefilms).
We had reported that actors Vin Rana, Ruchi Savarn, Shikha Singh, Leena Jumani, and Mishal Raheja, who plays pivotal roles in the show, will mostly not be a part of it post the leap.
However, as per latest developments, the makers have managed to retain Vin, Ruchi and Shikha to continue to be a part of the daily. Meanwhile, Leena’s chances look bleak, and Mishal has already confirmed that he is quitting (Read here: Mishal Raheja CONFIRMS quitting Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya).
To get a confirmation, we contacted Shikha, who shared, ‘Yes, I am continuing in the show, as Kumkum Bhagya is close to my heart. Since there are changes in storyline the team wanted me to stay back. Hence, for the betterment of the show and because I have been a part of the show for so long, I decided to stay back.’
When we buzzed Vin, he said, ‘I cannot talk about anything at the moment.’
We also tried reaching out to Leena and Ruchi, but they both remained unavailable for comment.
Kumkum Bhayga has already taken a leap of 20 years, and actresses Naina Singh and Mughda Chapekar have been roped in to depict Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Pragya’s (Sriti Jha) twin daughters. Rhea and Prachi are two strong personalities who are complete opposites of each other. On the one hand, Prachi is a complete replica of Pragya in terms of her simplicity, practicality, and sensitivity, and on the other hand, Rhea is born in the lap of luxury, making her a spoilt, pampered, and over-entitled daughter of a successful rockstar.
