Dakssh Ajit Singh aka Gaurav to quit Maryada

Tellychakkar.com broke the news of DJ’s A Creative Unit’s show on Star Plus, Maryada, getting an extension of six months, after initial reports suggested that it would go off air this month (January 2012). The channel’s decision definitely came as a sigh of relief for both the producers and the actors. At the moment when everything was looking settled, the latest news that we have gathered is that Dakssh Ajit Singh aka Gaurav has decided to move out of the soap. As per a reliable source, the actor had a one and a half year contract with the production house which has reached its expiry date, and Dakssh has no intention to renew it. Furthermore, the source also informs that the actor was unhappy with the storyline, especially with the development of his character. He has already had a word with the production house and they are okay to let him go. Hence, he will last face the camera for Maryada on 25 January 2012. We talked to Dakssh and he went on to confirm his exit. “Yes, I have decided to move on. In the future, if they need me to appear in an episode or two, I am fine with it. It has been great working with the team of Maryada, and I shall miss everyone a lot.” Post Maryada, Dakssh will get busy launching his own music album, producing Punjabi movies, and also writing poems. “Yes, I was too tied with the show and lot of things took a backseat.
