She confesses that she is not good at handling money but money has never been a problem in her life. She has always lived a financially secure life. Steal a look into the financial side of the gifted Smita Bansal. How important is money for you? It is very important to me. Thanks to God, there has always been flow of money in my life. I come from a financially well- to- do business family and I am even married in a rich family. I can’t imagine my life with less money or no money. Are you an impulsive buyer? I am very impulsive when it comes to buying things. I am among those people who don’t see the price tag before buying a particular thing. My husband tells me that I should keep myself so busy with work that I don’t get time to shop. That would be the only way to stop me from spending money unnecessarily. What are the investments you have made? My husband, Ankush does that for me. I think he invests my money in Fixed Deposits, property, etc. What is your most expensive purchase? My flat in Juhu (Mumbai). I bought it two years ago. Do you feel financially secure? Yes, I do. As I told you, I come from a strong financial background. So, irrespective of the amount of work I get I feel financially secure. Who handles your expenses? My husband handles it but I handle some regular expenses. What was your first salary? What you did with it? It was Rs. 900 for the shoot I did for a calendar. I gave the entire money to my mom as I did not know what to do with it. I was more excited about being featured in a calendar than the money. How much money do you carry every day? I carry only Rs. 500 to Rs. 600 due to the fear of my money being stolen. I am a credit card person; I prefer to carry credit cards rather than money. Any advice for investors? I am the wrong person for this. Please go to my husband, he will give the best advice.
