MUMBAI: Daily soaps are a part of our lives now and there’s not even a single day we miss them. With time, these shows and the characters become our favourite and we can’t imagine the show without them.
However, there were times when the major important characters got replaced due to various reasons. But we are thankful that every time this happened, the actors who replaced them did complete justice to the roles.
So, here’s a list of popular characters who got replaced by the original ones but still managed to impress us.
1. Ronit Roy replaced Amar Upadhyay
Let’s go back in the year 2000 when Amar Upadhyay who played the popular role of Mihir Virani left the show and was replaced by Inder Kumar first for a short period and then by Ronit Roy. Well, he managed to impress us and he is still remembered for the same.
2. Devoleena Bhattacharjee replaced Gia Manek
Gia Manek as Gopi bahu surely won hearts with her fine acting and innocence but when she quit the show, Devoleena stepped in her shoes and we thank the makers for roping her.
3. Shubhangi Atre replaced Shilpa Shinde
Shilpa Shinde aka Angoori Bhabhi is one of the iconic characters of the small screen. However, her replacement Shubhangi Atre managed to keep the essence of the character and entertain the viewers.
4. Toral Rasputra replaced Pratyusha Banerjee
It was a major heart-break and a huge shocker for the viewers to see Pratyusha quitting the show. But her replacement Toral proved to be a good choice.
5. Aamna Sharif replaced Hina Khan
Hina managed to steal everyone’s heart as Komolika and viewers couldn’t be happier to see her completely different avatar. Now that Aamna has replaced her, the fans are showering the same amount of love on her.
6. Hiten Tejwani replaced Sushant Singh Rajput
Everyone went crazy seeing Sushant Singh Rajput who played Manav in Pavitra Rishta. But after he bid adieu to the show, his replacement Hiten did full justice to Manav character.
7. Chaitanya Choudhary replaced Karan Patel
Karan who played Raman Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein became viewers’ favourite. Lately, when he quit the show, Chaitanya who was replaced by Karan has managed to pull the crowd with his onscreen presence as Raman.
8. Jennifer Winget replaced Sukirti Kandpal
Sukirti Kandpal who played Dr. Riddhima in the show Dill Mill Gaye said goodbye to the show after a short while. The makers roped in Jennifer for the role and she proved to be a perfect choice.
