MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone will be seen in Chhapaak where she will tell a story of an acid attack survivor named Laxmi Agarwal. The film stars Vikrant Massey opposite the actress and is directed by Raazi fame Meghna Gulzar.
A few days back, the trailer was released and Deepika got applauded by one and all. The latest reports of a fall-out between the heroic acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and the makers of Chhapaak have been doing the rounds of the social media.
According to media reports, it is being said that acid-attack victim Laxmi Agarwal is not happy with the money she has initially taken to tell her story through Chhapaak.
A source adds, 'She has been paid a mere Rs. 13 lakhs for the film rights. Laxmi signed happily. But now she is being advised to ask for more, and rightly so. She was ill-advised initially.'
The source further states that, 'There is a major rift brewing between Laxmi Agarwal and the Chhapaak team.'
Chhapaak is slated for a 10th January release.
