Farhan Akhtar disappointed about Gully Boy being out of the Oscar race

MUMBAI: Gully Boy, India’s official entry at the 92nd Academy Awards, finds itself out of the Oscars race. The ten films that have been shortlisted are The Painted Bird (Czech Republic), Les Misérables (France), Truth and Justice (Estonia), Those Who Remained (Hungary), Corpus Christi (Poland), Honeyland (North Macedonia), Beanpole (Russia), Atlantics (Senegal), Pain & Glory (Spain), and Parasite (South Korea).

The Akhtar family and the star cast of the film are naturally disappointed.

Gully Boy producer Farhan Akhtar told SpotboyE, ‘We are disappointed that Gully Boy didn't make it to the short list but grateful that we had the opportunity to compete. Best of luck to the films that have made it through.’
