The first show of Nandita Mehra and Bhairavi Raichura’s production house, 24 Frames, Chhal- Sheh Aur Maat will premiere tonight on Colors. This thriller series revolves around Neha (Hunar Hali), who is married to Rishi (Abhishek Malik) but is in a dilemma as Kabir (Avinesh Rekhi) claims to be her husband. Incidentally, these male actors are new comers.
Ideally, new production houses rope in famous actors to gain from their popularity, but this production house has surely broken norms. “Yes, both the male leads of our show are new. But we believe there is an advantage of having both of them on our project. Getting known faces on board, there are high expectations, however, new actors do not come with the expectation baggage,” says Nandita Mehra tells Tellychakkar.com. And Bhairavi Raichura nods in agreement.
“Making a thriller is a challenge in itself and we are ready for it. In fact, when other shows have just one or two writers, we have a team of writers. In fact, we are also ready with a good bank of stories which will help us meet the deadlines,” adds Nandita.
“We always wanted to come up with a different story for our first project; so when the channel pitched us the idea of a social thriller, we bagged the opportunity,” reveals Bhairavi.
While this is her first venture as a producer, Bhairavi is an accomplished actor: “I’ve been acting for 15 years now and I never planned to get into production but I am glad it happened. I am nervous and excited about it; it’s like a dream come true. I think I couldn’t have asked more from God.”
Talking more about her acting career, she says, “I have never been a difficult actor. I have always been a producers’ actor.” Does this imply that she will empathize with her actors now? “Since I am an actor too I will try and help my actors as much as possible.”
“We are sure Bhairavi will be able to give us the actor’s perspective,” beams Nandita.
