Kya Dill Mein Hai the hourly romantic weekend drama, produced by Balaji Telefilms, goes on air from 1st December at 8.00 pm on 9X.
This 80-episode romantic drama is a tale of an 18-year-old Bengali girl Kaakon (Abigail), who loses her heart to the man of her dreams. Kaakon defies her conservative parents to marry Anurag (Amir Ali). Kya Dill.. brings to fore the changing attitude of the youth of India.
Producer Ekta Kapoor says, “Often when I’ve created any show, I’ve always kept the commercial interest in mind. However, for the first time, I’m purely going by instincts. Kya Dill…. comes straight from my heart. Not for once did I contemplate on the commercial aspect. The moment I thought of it, I decided to go ahead with it. I’ve put my heart and soul in this thus I expect it to be appreciated by the viewers.”
This show sees 15-year-old Abigail making her debut. The Mumbai girl says, “Kaakon is a simple Bengali girl, who hails from a conservative family. She’s been taught that love occurs only after marriage. She’s a little confused, doesn’t exactly know love but yet she aspires thoughts of meeting the man of her dreams.”
What’s Abigail’s understanding of love?
“Well, I’m just too young to experience it,” she informs.
Amir Ali says about his role, “I play Anurag, who is a very cocky, fun- loving guy but there are different shades to him once the story progresses.”
When asked his views on romancing a 15-year-old, Amir replied, “Abigail must be 15 but she’s very intelligent and mature for her age. However, I was in a state of shock when first told about this proposition. Ekta is the perfect person to judge. Abigail fits the storyline perfectly.”
The other star cast comprises of Anita Hassanandani, Deepak Qazir and Anant Suryavanshi.
