The shoot of Star Plus' Mahayatra required host Manish Goel to shoot at holy pilgrimages, away from family for months. And during one of his informal conversations with the contestants on the show, Goel broke down while talking about his family expressing how deeply he missed them. But he didn't have a clue that the contestants who love him deeply will surprise him by inviting his wife and his kids onto the sets. The host's happiness knew no bounds when his family visited him and he was too overwhelmed.

Says Goel, "Oh! Yes, I broke down on the show and that was terrible. I had left my wife and two kids - Aryaveer and Maliha for the first time for almost 90 days at a stretch."
So what has the show taught him and is he a doting son who would bear any amount of pain for his parents? "My parents stay in Delhi and I strongly believe that distance always makes the bond stronger. I speak to my mother at least nine times a day checking on her health and schedules. This show has further taught me that parents are the most beautiful part of our lives and we must never hurt them whatever the situation may be. Given a chance, I would too love to do the same. I should be the first one to follow what I preach, right?"
Oh, how we love these sentimental blokes!
