MUMBAI: The world has come to a standstill in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Citizens are asked to follow social distancing and are not allowed to move out of their houses unless it is extremely important.
Television couple Ashish Dixit and Shweta Kanoje were quite upset with the lockdown as it was Shweta’s birthday on 22 March and the duo had special plans to bring in and celebrate the birthday. But as they say, every dark cloud has a silver lining. Ashish and Shweta found positivity in this situation and had a quite birthday at their residence.
We contacted Ashish who said, “ It was Shweta’s first birthday after we tied the knot and hence both of us were looking forward to celebrating it. I had already booked a couple camping venue at a beach in Alibaug but unfortunately due to the sudden lockdown, everything went for a toss”.
He further added, “Shweta was very excited for her birthday and was upset about the lockdown owing to the dangerous situation of our country. But later, she took it positively and said that it will be the most memorable birthday of her life”.
Speaking about the birthday celebration, Ashish said, “We were three of us. Shweta, a dear friend Aleem and myself. We’re aware that many people shouldn’t gather at one place as the risk of coronavirus to
spread would multiply and hence we just had one close friend. We acted as responsible citizens and adhered to the government guidelines. Surprisingly, the birthday bringing in turned out to be fun and unique”.
