MUMBAI: First Eros Now brought us A Viral Wedding, a series made entirely in the lockdown. Then ZEE5 announced comedy series Bhalla Calling Bhalla, again made entirely in the lockdown and soon to release on the platform. Not to be outdone, Hoichoi TV has created its own series in the lockdown, called Case Jaundice.
Case Jaundice is a comedy, and stars popular Bengali actors, Parambrata Chatterjee, Ankush Hazara, to and Anirban Chakrabarti in the primary roles. Case Jaundice marks Ankush’s debut in the digital space. All actors have filmed their portions of the series from their own respective homes.

The narrative of the series is an infinitely interesting one — what if mankind could sue Corona? The world has been ravaged by the rampaging Coronavirus, and mankind wants justice. The common man files a case in court against the Coronavirus. Ankush Hazara plays the lawyer who is representing COVID-19, while Parambrata Chatterjee represents the people. Anirban Chakrabarti has been roped in to essay the part of the judge – he surely has a tough decision to make!
As the court hears the case against Coronavirus, many pertinent points are raised in the series, though in a decidedly humorous way. The 10-episode series has been directed by Subhankar Chattopadhya.
