Former DID participant Khushboo now shows off her acting skills

After winning the hearts of the viewers and the mentors in Dance India Dance season 1, Khushboo Purohit now faces the camera in the newly launched Sasural Genda Phool. Khushboo plays Sanjana, Suhana's (Ragini Khanna) younger sister. Elaborating on her role Khushboo said, "Sanjana is very sincere and sensible; more mature and responsible than her elder sister. She takes care of the whole family after her mother's death and even advises her older sister." So how did acting happen? "I was always interested in acting and I just heard of this audition so I went for it and got selected. I am not trained." On working with Ragini she says, "She is very sweet and down to earth. She is a senior and a good actor, so I am learning from her." Does dancing take a backseat now? "Whenever I get time I practise it and I go to Remo (D'Souza) sir's classes as and when I am free from my shoot. I am learning newer techniques from Remo sir." She says her sister Bhawna who was also a DID participant last year is also trying her hand at acting. "After seeing me on television she is also fascinated by it. She has started giving auditions for various shows and is doing dance shows as well." She adds, "I have four sisters and we all are interested in dancing but my third sister can't participate in Dance India Dance as she is 16; so she has lost the opportunity to participate in DID junior as well. She will try maybe for season 3. My fourth sister Purbhi will soon be seen in DID junior. I hope she will be able to win the mentors' heart."
