MUMBAI: Abhishek Singh, Deputy Commissioner Delhi, is set to make his acting debut in the second season of the acclaimed Netflix Original, Delhi Crime.
Singh took this unconventional acting opportunity to drive social change, considering the impact cinema and films have on the audience.
'Administration today has evolved multifold, and we are tirelessly working towards building a robust system that is an integral part of the society. I have always believed that development, more than legalistic or administrative, is a social concept and should be driven by people through societal change,' he told the Indian Express

Delhi Crime, directed by Richie Mehta, dealt with the Delhi gang rape case in its first season. The plot followed the Delhi police investigation into finding the perpetrators.
The show was an eye-opener for a lot of people and was received as a “an expertly told, hard-to-watch true crime series.”
Delhi Crime, the anthology series, plans to work around social issues and the role of Delhi police in solving heinous crimes.
