The actor was quite excited to star in this film. Dil Bechara is the Hindi remake of The Fault In Our Stars and with Mukesh Chhabra.

The duo's bond is quite special and they have given us major friendship goals.

A source revealed, "Sushant and Mukesh share a great bond. It was Mukesh who picked him up when he was working on Pavitra Rishta got him into films by having him audition for Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che, and Sushant is forever indebted to him for that. So when Mukesh and Sushant had a discussion regarding this film, Sushant immediately agreed to do it. He does not forget old friends. He had some issues with the script and the schedule of Fitoor, and the role ended up going to Aditya Roy Kapur, but Sushant came back to do Kedarnath with Abhishek when Fitoor tanked."

There are reports about the actor's film releasing on the digital platform.
