Yesterday evening (29 June 2012), Tellychakkar.com reported about Colors’ popular show Na Aana Iss Des Laado going off air and airing for the last time on 27 July. Now, the show has been entertaining masses for over four years now and the character of Ammaji (Meghna Malik) gained Aonian heights of popularity. Shakuntalam Telefilms is the maker of the series. After the news broke, we decided to get in touch with Shyamashis Bhattacharya, founder of the production house. He shared, “It’s true Laado is going off air. Like any other show, when it ends, as a maker I feel bad. But this time around I am feeling very bad as Laado was really close to my heart. But as they say, all good things have to come to an end.” So what is the reason behind the soap being pulled out? “I think Laado has died an early death. It still had meat and the content had potential to entertain masses. The problem was it getting shifted to the afternoon slot. The show was not meant for the time frame. Its reach declined due to the move. I don’t think it was a right decision.” He finally ended by stating, “Anyways, I have had a great experience working with Laado. The show has had a great time span and earned immense popularity. I want to thank everyone who has been associated with it.”
