MUMBAI: Aslam Khan opens up on casting TikTokers in his music video
Bollywood actor Aslam Khan, who is known for his work in films like Rafoo Chakkar and Nayee Padosan, is gearing up for his upcoming directorial song, Private Jatt. The actor, who has turned director now, has casted TikTokers instead of normal actors in the song.
Famous TikTokers Aishwarya Salvi, Sana Eslam Khan, Sohail Shaikh, and Aamir Arab will feature in the single. Nowadays, when people, especially the actors are deleting chinese apps not willing to promote the brand, Aslam has a different thought process.
Talking about it, Aslam said, "I am feeling blessed to cast tiktokers in my song. TikTok app can be banned but we don't ban our talents from getting work. The Chinese app has given a platform to many who could not find a platform on TV or Bollywood screen. That's why I'm launching four TikTokers in my song."

Ask him if he fears the current sentiments of people would affect the success of the song and Aslam says, "I am not afraid but yes, I am concerned. There are TikTokers in the video and people are against them because of the tense situation. But I would just say that this is the song which has nothing to do with India-China problems, it is just for entertainment. And those who are targeting TikTok, I'd say that there are so many other products which are Made In China but we continue to use all of them, so why just blame TikTok alone? They are being targeted for entertaining people and getting a smile on other faces. I feel they should be encouraged to churn out more content because it's high time that new talent gets promoted. This is exactly what I have done and will be doing in future too. I am not concerned about the views, I will keep promoting new talent irrespective of whether they are TikTokers or not."
He further shares, "This song is special and memorable for me because since the last two to three months, I haven't shot anything and this is the last song before the lockdown that I shot. It's for the first time it took me 30 days to edit a song as I did it on a video call. This has been one of the most difficult shoots and edits I have ever had."
