Nandish Sandhu, who played the character of Veer in Uttaran (Colors) is a thorough gentleman in real life too. Nandish is a strong advocate against rash driving and unnecessary honking. Recently due to the incessant rain in Mumbai the whole city was wet and many roads were left reeling under the severe rain which caused many a puddles and Nandish tried his level best to avoid them. But unfortunately Nandish’s car went through one of the puddle, splashing the mucky water on a school kid resulting in getting him all drenched. Nandish, immediately stopped his car and ran towards the kid. He asked the child as to the location of his house and drove him to his place. Upon reaching his place Nandish asked the child to quickly change and come down, so that he could drop him to his school. The child immediately ran to his apartment duly got changed and came back all rearing to go to the school followed with his mum who wanted to check who is this person offering her child a lift to the school. While Nandish was waiting all the kids in the building surrounded him and started shouting for autograph. Nandish was very delighted and gave all of them his autograph. When the child’s mom realised it was Nandish, she immediately walked up to him and appreciated his gesture. She also told him she is a huge fan and appreciated him a lot for his work and was going all ga-ga about him. Nandish thanked her and also apologised for getting the child wet. “Rains is the most pleasant season but the fact is good things come with some side effects. That day I felt so bad that the little boy got fully drenched. But the best about him was he was not at all cranky. The moment I stopped the car he got so happy and I on the other hand felt that it’s my responsibility to drop him to his school. And while I was waiting for him the building kids surrounded me, but honestly I am thankful to the kid coz because of him I got to know that I have made some place in their tiny hearts (smiles). It’s easier to please elders but very difficult to get the appreciation from kids. I have promised I will take all the kids for a trip and I will surely do so,” Nandish merrily shared to Tellychakkar.com. Good job… Nandish!!!
