MUMBAI : Actor Namish Taneja, who was last seen in Colors' Vidya is all set to add another feather in his cap. We heard the lockdown has brought out the writer in him.

Owing to the Coronavirus outbreak, he got the unexpected and sudden break from the hectic shooting schedule, the dashing actor decided to use this time in doing something constructive. He penned down his thoughts, and converted it in the form of a motivational rap song with the help of his friend Anurag Verma.

When we got in touch with Namish, he affirmed he was a bit panicked initially, but chose not to dwell on the negativity and started motivating himself. Namish said, "COVID-19 and the lockdown has changed the world dramatically and there is substantial uncertainty about its impact on our physical and mental health, well-being, our lives and livelihoods. Just like everyone, I was panicked when I started hearing bad things, about deaths, migrant workers, suicides, pay cuts and massive layoffs. But then I told myself, it's just a phase, and it'll pass. To uplift my mood, I started watching happy and inspiring movies, listening to motivational songs, and started reading positive things."

When quizzed, how did he come up with the idea of writing a rap song? "I started penning down my thoughts and while I was doing all this, I decided to transform them into a rap song. It's a beautiful, inspiring rap song with full-on energy. I am sure it is going to motivate everyone during this difficult time."

He further added, "I have not yet decided, who is going to record and how I am going to release it.  I am in talks with a couple of people, let's see how it pans out."
