MUMBAI: The award-winning anchor created the India's first-ever celebrity game show in lockdown “Chalk & Cheese”, he also made us cry our eyes out with his portrayal of a passionate lover in his music video “Judaai”, and now he will soon be seen playing a rockstar. The multi-talented Gunjan Utreja will soon woo us with his badass rockstar avatar in his new show “The Socho Project”. The actor took singing lessons and also learnt how to play the guitar to portray his character with perfection.
Talking about his character in the show, Gunjan shared, “His name is Metal, a gifted musician rockstar but equally complex and has various shades of grey to him. He has a lot of anger in him which he channelizes towards music.

So here I was learning the guitar for three months, was surrounded with music and transforming to a happy space, but at the same time had to work hard to get into the skin of a character who is broken and lonely from inside. It was emotionally exhausting.
Its this process of transforming into someone else is what excites me about acting,” he added.
“The Socho Project" is India’s first-ever musical web series and is helmed by Mrinal Jha and Abhigyan Jha. It will also feature twenty-five original tracks, each with a concept.
The series is based on the struggles and challenges faced by upcoming and budding musicians in the music industry. It will be released later this year.
