Gangs Of Wasseypur now to release on 8 August

The release of the second part of Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur will open on 8 August (2012). The first part has already created a rage and has been watched my numerous cinema lovers across the globe. “For all those asking and also those not asking but are eager to know #GOW2 will release on 8th August," tweeted Kashyap. “Sunn toh liya hai aapne ab apni aankhon se dekh bhi lo (You've heard it, now see it too),"”he added. The first part narrates the story of Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpai) and Ramadir Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia), based on the real life story of Shafi Khan and Surya Dev Singh, both of whom were rivals and are no longer alive. Part two of the movie is essentially the story of Sardar Khan’s son Faisal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), who is Faheem Khan in real life. Faheem Khan is alive and in the Dhanbad jail currently. The to-be released film is an extension of Gangs of Wasseypur that released 22 June. The film has since been drawing critical acclaim and good results at the box office. Both the parts totaling 5 hours and 20 minutes were screened at 65th Cannes International Film Festival and received good response.
