"Be a part of a leap...no ways!"

Going into flashback mode, we all remember with what fanfare Balaji's Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka was launched nine months back. It was touted as Star One's biggest show of the year and boasted of a spectacular star cast - the hot and dashing Eijaz Khan, Muni Jha, Dolly Thakore, Sujata Mehta and many more. And the protagonist Nimmo essayed by the debutant and angelic Sanjeeda occupied a special place in the hearts of the audience.
But now the status quo is quite bleak! The air is filled with the buzz that Kya Hoga ….. will be taken off air soon. So we decided to get the truth from the horse's mouth - from Sanjeeda, who else. It's speculated that that your maiden show, Kya Hoga…is going of air. How true is it? I don't hope or think so, as the serial is pretty popular among the older ladies who keep worrying, ab Nimmo ko kya go? Recently I came to know about this fan of mine, a small child who only drinks milk when the title track of Nimmo is aired, how sweet na? So what's the upcoming track in Nimmo? A lot of drama! We have moved away from the romantic-comedy track to a more serious zone, where though Nimmo is still in love with Kunal, she is ready to sacrifice in order to save Natasha's marriage. You seem to be very happy with your new on-screen look? It's really nice to note that everybody is interested in my look. I have not changed my appearance totally though. All I have done is kept my hair open (by dumping the signature Nimmo pony tail) and got rid of the nose ring. As far as my clothes are concerned, you no longer see me in kurtas and jean. Nowadays, I am clad in Punjabi suits, patialias and sarees. However keeping the simplicity of my character in mind, my new avataar is understated and not bling-bling. What other changes has Nimmo in person incorporated of late? As the story has advanced by a year, Nimmo has become very mature; she no longer is the klutz clumsy girl of the past, who would keep tripping all over. If Nimmo took a 20 year leap, would you still be part of the show? No ways, who wants to play an older woman. However, having said that, if I am given a Parvati kind of look, then I just might consider it. Some time back, the media was abuzz of you and co star Eijaz not getting along? See we are two different individuals. Hence it's not necessary that we work on the same wavelength. What is important here is that we are both mature actors, who know the importance of being very professional on the set. The public likes our chemistry; hence it's our duty to work together. So you are not friends? We only come together on the sets. The moment my shot is over, I go back to my van. With which co-star are you most comfortable working with? My on screen father, Muni Jha. We really gel well on screen. He is such a good actor, that it's a treat to work with him. On an average I do as many as 8/10 scenes day, so even doing two scenes with Muniji, gives me satisfaction of having done some good work. What's the difference between acting down south and here? The language. Down south I had to convert my dialogues in English while here Hindi is much easier for me. On a more serious note, I feel in south they treat their actors with greater respect, forget me even my mum was treated like a queen, which unfortunately does not happen here How do you pass your time on the sets? By reading newspapers or books and chatting away with my friends on the phone. I also love to listen to music on my ipod. Besides Nimmo, what else is in the pipeline? God where do I have the time for more work! Nimmo anyway takes away all 30 days of a month. But now with the current track getting set, I am thinking of taking a break. If some good cameos come along, I might be game. Since you are a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, would you like to be a part of Nach Balliye 3? To be honest the shows sucks, because being a realty show, the true talent never wins. However, I just might take part because I love to dance. What's your equation with Ekta Kapoor? See she is my boss, so I have consciously kept a purely professional relationship with her. As Balaji values hard work, I love working here. If you are good with them, they reciprocate in equal measure. Whenever I have had a genuine problem, they were always willing to work things out. How do you unwind after a hard day's work? By watching TV (Kahaani... and Kasauti....) and going for movies. Which was the last movie you saw? Dhoom 2, though I didn't like it. I might see it again just for Hrithik! Man, he not only looks hot but acts well too. He will soon give Hollywood stars a run for their money What do you miss most about your home town Ahemdabad? I haven't been there ever since Nimmo started. What I miss the most is my house and the slow easy going life there. Here everybody seems to be in mad rush!
