The feeling of resuming shoots is very positive: Avinash Mukherjee

MUMBAI: After a break of three months, courtesy the nationwide lockdown, and actor Avinash Mukherjee is back on the sets of his popular TV show “Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki”. The actor says it was a great feeling to be back on the sets.

“The feeling of resuming shoots is very positive, very nice, and after this entire COVID phenomenon, we are still struggling and we all are in it together. As entertainers, performers and storytellers, we have a responsibility towards all those sitting at home. So when the duty calls you need to be there,” he said.

Talking about the precautions on the sets, he said, “The set looked so good. I would really like to thank our producers and the entire Colors and Viacom team. They had taken all the precautions, and I did not expect it at that level. There were 4-5 people walking with PPE kits, sanitisers and sprays, they were sanitising the entire sets, including our rooms and even the garden.”

“Once we entered, our temperature was checked and then there were hands-free sanitisers as well. All the other crew members had their mask, gloves and eyeglasses and face shield on the entire time. Even we had to put them on during the rehearsals, it was only between action and cut that we removed our masks. And of course, everyone was maintaining social-distancing. The set is huge and there were like 30-35 people only,” he added.

When asked how his parents reacted to him resuming shoot, the “Balika Vadhu” star said, “My parents are also very positive. They are excited. They kept calling me while I was on the set. They have in fact assigned a person with me, who keeps giving me warm water, and carries my other stuff.”

The new episode of the social drama will air from July 6 onwards on Colors. On being probed about the changes in the storyline, Avinash said, “I will not disclose the change in the storyline. I think from 6th July people will get to know what has changed in the storyline.”
