Maharashtra Government refuses to transfer Sushant Singh Rajput's case to CBI

Government refused a transfer of the case.

MUMBAI: On June 14, 2020, the nation woke up to shocking news of actor Sushant Singh Rajput passing away. The actor had allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai.

Since then, millions have been requesting that a fair investigation be conducted, and his fans are demanding a CBI enquiry.

Now, it has been more that 45 days since his death. Yesterday, a big twist was witnessed in the case, as the late actor’s father logged a FIR against Rhea.

The Home Minister of Maharashtra had called for a meeting at 5 PM to discuss what should be done in the case.

Now, they have decided that the case won’t be transferred to CBI under any circumstances and that the Mumbai Police will investigate the matter.

This raises more questions as to why is the government so hesitant to transfer the case.

This was the second meeting in this case by the Government of Maharashtra, and once again, they have denied permission to transfer the case to CBI.

The main question that rises here is that there is no FIR lodged by the Mumbai Police and they are investigating the case.

Fans have been demanding a CBI enquiry since his demise and their voice seems to be ignored.

What is stopping the government from transferring the case remains a question mark. Especially when there are so many loopholes in the case and the Mumbai Police's investigation is going nowhere.
