MUMBAI: Sushant Singh Rajput's million fans were fighting for his justice and were demanding CBI probe in this matter. They were also trending #CBIInquiry on Twitter after the actor's untimely demise. Even Shekhar Suman, Kangana Ranaut and quite a few celebs have also demanded CBI investigation. Just sometime back, the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar confirmed to Times Now that he will soon begin with the recommendation proceedings for CBI Probe in Sushant's case as he has received consent from the family. He also asserted that it will be done today itself and that the proceedings will be started.

Having said that, the latest developments claimed by Times Now suggests that the late actor's family is relieved and thanked the CM for making a request on the same. His family expressed their gratitude towards the CM and also said that after seeing the non-cooperation between Mumbai Police and Bihar Police, this decision has been made and he is glad that now the justice will be served without any bias. With CBI probe in Sushant's suicide case, his family members and even his million fans will be relieved. Earlier, talking about the consent, Nitish Kumar told the portal, "Bihar DGP (Gupteshwar Pandey) had a talk with the late actor's father KK Singh today. DGP has informed me that the father has asked for a CBI probe into the case.
On the other hand, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has said in a statement that the Bihar Police has no jurisdiction to transfer Sushant Singh Rajput's to the CBI. He also said in a statement that there cannot be a transfer of a case which had no legal basis for Bihar to get involved.

On July 28, Sushant Singh Rajput's father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna under a few sections including 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC. Since then, Bihar Police intervened and investigating the matter.
