Mauli to host a television show?

They may not make it big as playback singers but Zee TV definitely looks after their singers from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. After assigning anchoring duties to former Sa Re.. participants Himani Kapoor and Debojit Saha, Zee has picked Mauli Dave(Challenge 2007) to host a show on their recently launched GEC Zee Next. Says Mauli, “It’s too early to say anything as nothing is finalised yet. Talks are on and the moment we come to an agreement, I shall tell you all the details. Though, I wouldn’t deny that it’s for anchoring a show.” Hailed as the Shakira of Indian TV, the Sa Re.. Challenge 2007 contestant is also receiving offers for acting. “I did receive an offer for a film but I turned it down. I wouldn’t like doing anything which isn’t good for me. At the moment, I’m concentrating on my singing career. After singing for my mentor Bappi Lahiri, I’m currently recording for Bhojpuri and Nepalese films. I’m also keen on singing for South Indian films,” said the American desi. The sexy siren surprised all with her presence at the Sa Re.. L’il Champs bash yesterday. When asked what brought her to the event, she replied, “I came here tonight for Vibhore (L’il champ contestant). He had earlier requested me to be present on his birthday.” So did she get any present for Vibhore? “I would have loved to but I received the invitation at short notice. Thus I couldn’t find time to get any gift. Besides, I wasn’t even sure that I would be coming here today. He started to blush the moment he saw me. So, I reckon my presence was enough to brighten his day.” While she certainly brightened little Vibhore’s day, there was another individual who seemed to be equally elated. After all, he was happy to be a gracious HOST.
