Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Did you know Jennifer Mistry aka Mrs. Sodhi is a black belt in Karate?

Recently, the actress spoke to ETimes TV exclusively and confessed that she did not miss anyone from her star cast during the five months of lockdown.

MUMBAI: Jennifer Mistry is loved for her role of Mrs. Roshan Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress is a household name today and has been part of the show for 12 years now. Recently, the actress spoke to ETimes TV exclusively and confessed that she did not miss anyone from her star cast during the five months of lockdown. She shared that the lockdown came as a blessing for her.

Frankly speaking, I have not missed any of my cast members during these four months (laughs). I have enjoyed these fourth months with my family to the fullest. Because believe me in the last 12 years I have not got a time like this. There were so many things in my to do list which I wanted to do, but I couldn't. I wanted to make new recipes for my daughter and husband. I wanted to do all these things and I wanted to get a break like this and look I think what I wanted came true. But it was not like I was not in touch with my cast. We have a common chat group and then I have a separate group with Sonalika Joshi and Ambika Ranjankar so we chat a lot with each other on that particular group regularly. Then I am also in touch with Mandar Chandwadkar. I also speak to Gurucharan also. I am in touch with them on and off," she said.

Jennifer, who is a mother in real life, used this lockdown to live her life to the fullest and did many things from her to-do list. She shared that her to-do list would never end since she has been busy for the last 12 years. The actress caught up on Kathak rehearsals, cooking, and spent quality time with her husband and daughter. Jennifer also revealed an unknown fact about her and revealed that she is a black belt in Karate and after 25 years, she finally started practicing Karate again, "I think during this 4-5 months of lockdown I have been only able to complete 10 percent of my to do list. During the initial days, I paid attention to my house, did all the cleaning and all. Then during the initial three months I made sure to serve my husband and daughter good delicacies at least three times a day as deep down I am a total homemaker. Then I had done an 8 year diploma course in Kathak but due to some reasons I had stopped and I didn't practise for 20 years, but now since my daughter is also learning Kathak I began to practice with her. We also uploaded a video on my social media page. Not many people know that I am a black belt in Karate and I had stopped practicing it. I had not practiced it for the last 25 years, but again because of my daughter I started practicing karate also. Because of my work I could not give time to my daughter at all, but during this lockdown my husband and I made sure to spend time with our daughter. We played a lot of board games," said the actress.
