MUMBAI : A few days back, ace TV producer Rashmi Sharma made a big announcement of getting season 2 of her popular show Saath Nibhana Saathiya. The show starring Giaa Manek, later Devoleena Bhattacharjee (Gopi), Rupal Patel (Kokilaben), Rucha Hasbanis (Rashi), Mohammad Nazim (Ahem) and Vishal Singh (Jigar) was a huge success and ran for seven long years.

Now, the makers are all set to get season 2 with a new storyline and starcast but also have some popular characters from the first season. By now Rupal Patel and Devoleena Bhattacharjee are confirmed for the new season. And now SpotboyE.com has it that Mohammad Nazim, who played Gopi's husband Ahem on the show, will also be a part of it.
A source informed the portal, "Nazim will also be part of the show. The storyline is ready where Modi Parivar will play an integral part and along with Gopi and Kokilaben, Ahem's character will also be retained in the show. Devoleena has already shot for a promo and soon a new promo will be shot with three of them."
Confirming the news of getting Season 2, producer Rashami Sharma had told Mumbai Mirror, "The team mulled over the idea for a new season amid the lockdown. Their confidence in a new season was boosted by the fact that SNS was watched diligently during its rerun on TV during the coronavirus pandemic. The story will have many twists and turns but it will remain a family drama at its heart. Saath Nibhana Saathiya cannot be complete without the Modi family and confirmed that Rupal will be reprising her role along with Devoleena Bhattacharjee."
