MUMBAI : One of the popular shows Qubool Hai starring Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover, is all set for its digital sequel on ZEE5. Both KSG and Surbhi were immensely loved for their onscreen pair of Asad Ahmed Khan and Zoya Farooqui.
The show which launched in 2012 and went off-air in 2016 after a successful run of 4 years, will once again hit the screen with the show's original leads.
Yes, fans can once again see this pair paired opposite in the rebooted version.
According to our sources, the show which was produced by Gul Khan under her banner 4 Lions Films will not be helming the project.
We hear that renowned writer Mrinal Jha, who has penned down the story and concept for TV Shows such as Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka, Tara From Satara, Nazar, Divya Drishti, Naagin (season 1 and 2), Ishqbaaaz and Qubool Hai, has been brought on board to bankroll the show.
Mrinal has also written scripts for TV serials like Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat, Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, Amber Dhara, Chhoona Hai Aasmaan, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Santaan, Kasturi, Maayka and the list goes on. She has earlier produced Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha on Star Plus.

As per reports, Shalini Kapoor who had essayed the role of Dilshad Rashid Ahmed Khan on the show, has been approached by its makers again for a role in the show’s upcoming season.
